Amen to this post! I've had heaps of people tell me I'm done. They don't seem to realise that this is a lifestyle choice not a temporary phase.

Greg this post reminds me of a comment that you left me on my goal weight post. That it's all relative. I was quite happy with the weight that I am at now for the last four weeks, because it is so much better than what I was before. But now that I have been at this weight for a while, and I'm used to it, I realize that I still need to lose a bit more weight!

Also, people can be jealous. They can't believe that someone is actually able to get in shape and lose weight (because it happens so rarely!) and they are jealous! Most people are happy for me and say that I inspire them, but there are some who say I am getting too skinny. And they always try to sabotage my gym time by trying to make plans with me at the time when they know I have my non-negotiable workout time! They don't think it's important for me to exercise every day, they think I'm being obsessive!

I agree! My husband is considered "skinny" because he is super tall and pretty linky. However, he eats even crappier than I do. He is starting to work out again with me, but I always joke with him that even though he's "skinny" he's actually a fatty...or at least extremely unhealthy! And I really do hate it when people start acting like you're going too far on the diet. I still have a long way's to go and people have already started warning me to not go too far...and that I should be just about done. They look at me like I'm crazy when I say I have another 35 pounds to go. You keep it up and be proud of what you're doing. You have done your homework and know what is best for you and your body!

Man this post is eerily similar to my situation. I'm shooting for abs but all the fat people are telling me I should be "done". My little meals at work have become notorious. But I'm after those abs. Interesting about the body fat percentage number to see abs. I was just shooting for 9% because then I'll be in hardcore athlete level. I've heard lower than that is unhealthy. Who knows. If I can run a 10k I guess I'm healthy. :) good for you man for having your own standards - I'm right there with ya.
