Hi Greg,

I know that this is way off topic considering that my comment is meant for the Razzoo's blogs, but I felt that I had to voice my opinions. First, congratulations on your lifestyle change. As someone who is on the "road to recovery" I applaud your effort own trying to get Razzoo's nutritional information at least posted on their website. This person "Sarah" who kept replying to you regarding your blog, I wanted to say to her that while people have the right to indulge or eat fattening and salty foods, they also have the right to know the nutritional information about what they are putting in their mouths. I don't see why you are called arrogant for merely requesting that Razzoo's offer better nutritional savvy alternatives. After all, you were not lobbying for removal of any item off their menu but rather some additions. These additions would cater to a whole new group of people: "The healthy bunch", and it would only expand the clientele and the business. I would think that this would rank high on their list. Another thing I wanted to add is the fact that those who stated that just because they go to Razzoo's doesn't mean they don't care about what they eat, they aren't necessarily correct. If one goes to eat somewhere that one KNOWS has only fatty and salty options, then I would think that the person actually doesn't care what they eat at that moment in time. They are well aware of the fact that they are "indulging", but they choose to ignore what that actually means. I repeat: the fact of the matter is that you do not care what you eat for the meal that you eat at Razzoo's or any other restaurant when you choose a less healthy option.
The last point I wanted to make is that rather first in question format---What if someone only wants to indulge in dessert, or only in a certain part of the meal like appetizer, or maybe an extra side of garlic bread? What if they want to know how many calories they are ingesting so that they can be sure to work off that many later that day? They wouldn't know. Many people who begin losing weight do so by counting their caloric intake. Even a small nudge in the wrong direction could send them stumbling back. I think that placing the nutritional information on Razzoo's website at the very least would help more than do harm. Having alternatives on the menu would be an even bigger step towards helping the customers who are trying to be healthy. Nearly every establishment that calls themselves a restaurant offers fatty options. So why not offer healthy ones also?

Thank you for your time,
Sue O.

I COULDN'T create a log-in for Cron-o-meter. I entered a huge variety of alternatives but everything wiped out and there was no hint about what was wrong. I used letters only or letters and numbers, figuring the symbols are not usually okay. They give you no hints, like "minimum of 8" or "numbers only." What's with them? Unless someone has any ideas, I'm giving up.

What I'm looking for is something which allows me to track B6, B2, calcium, iodine, potassium, and all the nutrients. Most of my food is home-cooked whole foods without salt (or very little occasionally). Ideas?

Yes, I'd have to say that your opinion of a problem at Razzoo's is actually just your own poor planning.

I can respect what you are trying to do, but perhaps many other people do not believe in the voodoo that you do. I am not saying that you should be forced to eat at Razzoo's but clearly if you had your way next to no one would visit the place. Food prepared the way you want it really sounds terrible and is not special at all.

Freedom of choice, and in your case, you should choose not to go.

This whole thing is ridiculous. Your site is only ranked highly because people are looking for nutritional value. While I applaud the fact that you are on a more healthy lifestyle, you need to come to terms that going out to eat ANYWHERE is going to be more unhealthy than eating at home. I am a nutritionist, and I know that when I go out to eat and indulge, then that is what I am doing.....indulging. I work out everyday, eat healthy and enjoy it. It is a rare occasion that I splurge. I wish the nutritional value was posted to gain insight on better options, regardless of whether that dish can change. But, the fact remains that any idiot can order a salad without the cheese and croutons and request a vinagrette dressing on the side and up the nutritional value a lot. You don't have to be a nutritionist to know that options are available to you. My suggestion to you is that if you don't want the extra calories. just don't go out to eat.

Omgaw, this. Besides, from what you wrote, you didn't prepare enough before your outing and for goodness sake, be a parent and tell the kids to hold their water if the finer details are simply that important to you.

Cajun cooking is not meant to be "healthy," period. If you wish to eat "healthy" the responsibility is on you, not the restaurant. Simply don't give them your business. They won't change their entire menu because one customer is clueless to what Cajun fare is.

Good grief get over yourself. It's not like he called YOU fat. Next time you go on your monthly visit to Razzoo's look around at the people there and see the percentage of them that look overweight and unhealthy. I bet it will be "most". He's not putting anyone specifically down, he's observing the state of Americans which it is a well known fact are mostly overweight and unhealthy - and it's because they eat too much junk and exercise too little. I commend you for your choice to work out and be in shape and if you choose to go to Razzoo's - fine. That's your choice. It's also anyone else's choice to NOT to and they shouldn't be put down because of it.

I workout 6 days a week and I'm in great shape and so is my husband and we eat at Razoo's atleast once a month. I'm very offended that you would say most people in razoo's are "unhealthy looking" What is that? SMH. You are a man who got healthy and now is trying to put down others who aren't doing what YOU are doing. Loser.
