		<description>Recently I started taking more calories because a fear of muscle loss as well. That turned into a mission to gain muscle, so my intake has gone to 2500/day so I&#039;m just over maintenance, and working out regularly to muscle up, and lots of walking to whittle remaining fat. 		<description>Interesting post because on average I&#039;m eating around 1400 calories a day and I&#039;m losing weight at a steady pace. 

I do feel that I&#039;ve lost &#039;some&#039; muscle but I&#039;m working out hard at the gym 3-5 times a week, doing primarily strength training to keep what I have and even grow more. I eat and drink a lot of protein, including isopure and I feel bigger in some respects; mostly in my arms. 

I know in order to lose weight, some muscle will go with it; but I gain muscle so quickly I don&#039;t think it will be a problem unless I start losing a lot of muscle while I do as you and increase my calorie intake. I plan on getting a trainer in a couple months and work on muscle growth after I&#039;m done with my restricted calorie intake.

		<description>Hmm...I think you may be right.  I&#039;m watching my bodyfat percentage rather closely as well.  Down to 19.5% at the moment.  If the weight keeps coming off but that percentage doesn&#039;t go down then I&#039;ll be eating more too.
