10×400 means I ran 10 repeats of 400 meter interval runs. It’s a form of interval training that is meant to increase VO2Max, the oxygen uptake capacity of the body for higher aerobic capacity and faster runs. The 10×400 also involves a mile or so warm-up and another mile or so cool-down phase plus 400 meter slow runs between the intervals. Total distance is about 6-7 miles. Just for my education, what exactly does 10×400 mean? I do not understand the notation.
